📢 CRTC Reschedules Two Postponed Cancon Hearings 🇨🇦📺
The CRTC has announced new dates for two of its three postponed public hearings on the future of Canadian content, following delays due to the federal election call:
📌 New Hearing Dates: 🎬 The Path Forward – Defining “Canadian program”: May 14, 2025 📡 The Path Forward – Working Towards a Sustainable Broadcasting System: June 18, 2025
🎧 The third hearing, The Path Forward – Supporting Canadian and Indigenous audio content, has not yet been rescheduled.
These hearings are critical steps in modernizing the Broadcasting Act and shaping the future of Canadian and Indigenous storytelling, production sustainability, and regulatory frameworks.
