Andrew Phung

CBC’s Kim’s Convenience | Comedian, Emcee, and Host

Best known as a star on CBC’s hit television series Kim’s Convenience, Andrew Phung’s infectious and relatable personality has made him one of Canada's top comedic performers. He is an award-winning actor, improv comedian, and writer, as well as a sought-after emcee, having hosted events for TD, Remax, as well as the national New Years Eve Telecast in 2025 (CBC), the Junos, and the Canadian Screen Awards. Phung brings his off-the-cuff comedic charm and boundless enthusiasm to every engagement. Phung starred in Kim’s Convenience for its full five-season run, where he won five consecutive Canadian Screen Awards in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He is also the co-creator, executive producer, and star of the hit CBC and Hulu series, Run the Burbs, which was inspired by his upbringing in the northeast of Calgary. Phung took home a Canadian Screen Award as the Best Lead Actor in a Comedy for his work on the show. Phung’s other recent television credits include LOL: Last One Laughing Canada on Amazon Prime, and he’s currently the host of the new hit food competition series, Big Burger Battle, on the Flavour Network (Canada) and Food Network (USA). He can also be seen in the upcoming comedy Hate the Player on Paramount+.
