Eligibility and Assessment Criteria for AMPIA’s Bespoke Mentorship Program

AMPIA’s Bespoke program returns for another thrilling edition. Following four successful rounds in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 it offers Alberta Producers a unique opportunity to gain customized guidance and financial support to propel their projects and careers to new heights.

The AMPIA Bespoke Mentorship program is a three-month program designed to respond to the specific needs of producers. Emerging and established producers are encouraged to apply.

Four successful participants will each receive mentorship and $1500 dollars to help achieve their proposal goals. Please be aware, this program is only open to AMPIA members.

Interested producers should complete the one-page application by clicking here. Your application should specify measurable goals and deliverables, with a final report due to program supervisors by May 15, 2025. To apply, you must be an AMPIA member in good standing and have a current project that would benefit from support.

Program Details:

Deadline for applications is January 15, 2025. The successful participants will be chosen by a panel of industry experts and funding partners and announced in early February. AMPIA thanks Alberta Film, Telefilm Canada and the Edmonton Arts Council for supporting professional development in Alberta.

Objectives:

  • Support the creation of training opportunities in the private sector for emerging and established professionals to hone their skills, network within the industry, and gain applicable experience and expertise, thereby creating greater potential for job prospects.
  • Support the creation of mentorship opportunities aimed at strengthening industry expertise by addressing industry skills gaps.
  • Improve access to quality training opportunities for interns by matching prospective entrants into the workforce with established businesses.

Target Audience:

Emerging and Established producers looking to enhance their skillset or working in a new genre. Applicants must be AMPIA members in good standing. A minimum of 50% of places will be held for IBPOC producers.
