Lift – Short Film

Set in 1946, Lift is the story of two brothers trying to figure out where they fit in post-war Edmonton. Having always idolized his older brother, Dave is trying to figure out who he wants to be and is forced to confront the fact that his older brother Andrew is flawed and searching for his own sense of self. Andrew, a skilled pilot, grounded during WWII due to a medical condition, is contending with feelings of inadequacy as younger men return from war as heroes and he was unable to be one.
