2024 Edmonton Film Prize

Congratulations to the Winners of the 2024 Edmonton Arts Prizes!

The main recipients of the Edmonton Arts Prizes were celebrated for their outstanding achievements in music, film, visual arts, and literature during an awards ceremony held at Varscona Theatre. The festivities featured Councillor Hamilton, representatives from partner organizations, heartfelt speeches by the winners, and live music by Out of Pocket Trio.

All twelve nominees were honored, with the primary winners in each category receiving $15,000 and two runners-up each receiving $5,000, totaling $100,000 awarded to these talented artists.

Here are the distinguished winners of the Edmonton Arts Prizes:

  • The City of Edmonton Music Prize: Primary winner, HAIDEE; runners-up, Arlo Maverick and Home Front.
  • The City of Edmonton Film Prize: Primary winner, Cody Lightning; runners-up, Adam Scorgie and Omar Mouallem.
  • The Eldon + Anne Foote Edmonton Visual Arts Prize: Primary winner, Kelsey Stephenson; runners-up, Taiessa and Tiffany Shaw.
  • The Robert Kroetsch – City of Edmonton Book Prize: Primary winner, Jennifer Bowering Delisle; runners-up, Anna Marie Sewell and Richard Van Camp.

The awards are organized by the Edmonton Arts Council, in collaboration with the City of Edmonton, Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA), Alberta Music, Audreys Books Ltd., Carfac Alberta, Edmonton Community Foundation, and the Writers’ Guild of Alberta.
