RESOURCES FOR RESUMING PRODUCTION

Please Note: The following are suggestions only for Producers in relation to health and safety best practices and protocols as we emerge from COVID 19 lockdown and reopen our industry. Each Production Company should formulate their own corporate protocols. This list will be updated as more information becomes available.

PROVINCIAL HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES

The Government of Alberta has released high-level COVID-19 health and safety guidance for the screen-based industry. The full guidance document for Screen-based Production Industry can be found here. This guidance, and any other applicable Alberta Health guidance can be found at Alberta.ca/BizConnect.

Other relevant guidance for this industry may be found in the personal services guidance document (make-up artists) and guidance documents for restaurants, events and catering (meal service). This document has been developed to support the screen-based production industry in reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19 among attendees (including workers, volunteers, patrons and the general public).

Current information related to COVID-19 can be found at Alberta.ca/covid19.

COVID-19 INSURANCE COVERAGE

AMPIA is aware that insurance companies are not offering COVID-19 coverage for the production sector at this time. We are supporting the work undertaken by our colleagues at the CMPA, who are working on a proposal to the Federal Government to serve as a backstop for COVID-19 claims. More information can be found on the CMPA COVID-19 Microsite.

Hey @ryanjespersen we loved the side-comment about #Foley in todays #RealTalkRJ episode!

We do a little bit more than crumple-up paper on our #FoleyStage (the first & only one in Alberta) - like footsteps, props & cloth - but we appreciate the advocacy👊
