Entries will be judged by an independent jury of filmmakers, presenters, broadcasters and members of the film community.

Launched in 2012 by the Edmonton Arts Council, the Edmonton Film Prize to celebrate the best in Edmonton’s screen-based industries.

“Edmonton has a strong film community and we are excited to continue the tradition of recognizing our local pool of talent,” says Paul Moulton, Executive Director of the Edmonton Arts Council. “This is our first time partnering with our friends at the Alberta Media Productions Industries Association on the project, and we look forward to working with them to celebrate the recipient of the fourth annual Edmonton Film Prize.”

“We are very pleased to be working with the Edmonton Arts Council to present the Edmonton Film Prize,” says Bill Evans, AMPIA’s Executive Director. “Our track record of administering the Alberta Film & Television Awards over the past 40+ years make this a natural fit.”

The submission deadline is September 30, 2015. The winner will be announced and the prize awarded in December 2015.
