AMPIA’s 40th Anniversary Screening of Francis Damberger’s ‘Road to Saddle River’ was a resounding success! More than 250 people packed Metro Cinema on September 29 to see the Cult Classic Cowboy Comedy on the big screen in glorious 35mm Cinemascope. Director Francis Damberger was joined on stage afterwards by Actors Paul Jarrett, Sam Bob and Michael Hogan for a spirited Q & A with the audience. Many of the crew were also on hand, including Cinematograher Peter Wunstorf, CSC, and Sound Recordist Garrell Clark, who traded war stories afterwards at the High Level Diner with Producers Dale Phillips and Graydon McCrae.
Thanks to the Edmonton Film Festival, Metro Cinema and the Edmonton Film Commission for their support of the screening, which was presented as part of the EIFF and Alberta Culture Days. Thanks also to Alberta Beef for the 500 packages of beef jerky, all of which were consumed by the audience! Here’s to the next 40 Years of AMPIA!
For anyone who missed the screening, Francis is selling DVD’s. Please contact him at: firstname.lastname@example.org
