Special Events and Marketing Assistant, AMPIA

AMPIA is looking for a student who can work 3-5 hours a week in Edmonton as the Special Events and Marketing Assistant. Ideal for someone looking to network with the Alberta Film, Television, and Media Industry. Position start date is September 26, 2013, apply through the Serving Communities Internship Program (SCIP).

Please note this position is funded through SCIP and compensation will be a $1000 bursary, awarded by Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education. This is a Part Time position for students, please check your eligibility here.

Arts Advocacy Initiative Coordinator, APAC (Alberta Partners in Arts & Culture)

$2500 contract (estimate: $20/hour, 125 hours)

APAC is a coalition of 12 provincial arts service organizations and cultural industry associations. We are seeking a coordinator to organize and execute an arts advocacy campaign with Alberta Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the autumn of 2013.

The campaign will see meetings set between Albertaʼs 87 MLAs in their home constituencies with volunteers from the arts community. The volunteers will deliver key messages about the importance of arts and culture in Alberta as well as develop rapport between our elected representatives and the cultural sector.

Video Producer/Videographer, Banff Centre

The Banff Centre is currently recruiting for a Video Producer/Videographer. The main role is to provide project support, including pre- through post-producing duties and hands on video production support. Radio Producer/ Engineer, Banff Centre

The Banff Centre has recently been approved by the CRTC for three radio station licenses, including the launch of a new station to serve Banff. Banff Centre Radio will offer music and entertainment from well-known and emerging artists, live and recorded performances from the Centre, and daily local and national newscasts and local information about the issues facing Banff.

Essential to this exciting new venture, we are looking for an experienced Radio Producer/ Engineer to be responsible for the production and programming of radio content as well as the technical operation and transmission of Banff Centre Radio properties. Executive Director, Metro Cinema

Metro Cinema exhibits an eclectic blend of Canadian, international and independent film, video and media arts 364 days a year and operates out of Edmonton’s historic Garneau Theatre.
