Position: Production Job, Picture This Productions

If you’re multi-skilled, available in April and open to a 7 week adventure in Canada’s North, we may have the job for you! Picture This Productions is currently looking for a Production Coordinator/ Data Wrangler/ Chase Producer to work in Nunavut for seven weeks for “Watchers of the North”, an upcoming six part TV docu-series for broadcast on APTN. The shoot will be in two Nunavut locations between April 16 and June 4. What does the Jack/ Jill of all Trades job entail?

-Trouble-shooting and problem solving: dealing with equipment issues, transportation issues, etc.

-Data wrangling: daily handling of the footage back-up and shipping footage out, keeping in contact with the post-production supervisor ·

-Coordinating Link: be the link between the two production teams who at times shoot in different locations, and the community keeping them informed of events and potential stories.

-Keeping track of the big picture: Reviewing the footage as it comes in and loosely logging the material to send back to the Montreal post-production team, and keep tabs on material before it makes it back to Montreal ·

- Story chasing: Keeping eyes and ears open in the community while the teams are out on the land, for potential alternative characters and stories if some of our pre-planned storylines fall through.

Northern Experience:  The ideal candidate has some experience working in Nunavut, Northern Canada or the US, or in remote communities. 

A weekly salary plus all travel, food and lodging are covered for this seven week contract.
