Andrew Phung to Host the 2026 Rosie Awards!

We are excited to announce that comedian, actor, and Canadian Screen Award winner Andrew Phung will host the 2026 Rosie Awards on November 7, 2026, at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary.

Best known for Kim’s Convenience and Run the Burbs, Phung brings his signature humour, warmth, and energy to celebrating Alberta’s screen industry.

Nominees for the 2026 Rosie Awards will be announced this summer.

Thank You for Joining Us at the 2026 Producer Power Up!

A huge thank you to our panelists and moderators for sharing their insights, and an extra shoutout to those who travelled to be part of the conversations.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors: the Alberta Film Commission, Edmonton Screen, Telefilm, the Edmonton Arts Council, Calgary Economic Development, Bishop & McKenzie, Romanovsky & Associates, and Northern Gateway Films.

A special congratulations to Adam Scorgie for winning the 2026 Edmonton Film Prize for Tootoo!

We also congratulate finalists Colin Waugh (The Secret Long Tree Society) and Simon Glassman (Buffet Infinity) for their outstanding work.

The awards were presented on May 4, 2026 at Metro Cinema, with $15,000 awarded to the winner and $5,000 to each runner-up. The prizes are presented by the Edmonton Arts Council, in partnership with AMPIA and the City of Edmonton.
