Starland Studios is a new full-service media production company based in film-friendly Drumheller. We hold the first permit of its kind issued by the Town of Drumheller to conduct ongoing media business from our property and also have relationships already in place with local ranchers and special attractions to allow filming.

Known as the world’s Dinosaur capital and home of the famous Tyrell Museum, Drumheller is centrally located in the unique geography of the Canadian Badlands and is one of Canada’s top film locations.

Starland is only 1.5 hours driving time from the City of Calgary and its International Airport in Alberta. The property is adjacent to Highway#10 just five minutes east from downtown Drumheller and is situated on 6 treed acres along the Red Deer River with shore access and ample ‘Circus’ parking.

We have a fenced compound perimeter with special film enclosures approved by government for wildlife. Currently we house two Timber Wolves involved in documentary and film projects we are producing and may house other wildlife as necessary. We also provide domestic animals such as dogs, cats and horses.

We have an office, reception area and heated shop with a wide array of construction and mechanical tools as well as other buildings with landscaping equipment, specialized production gear, props and materials. For transportation we have 4WD work and crew trucks, travel and equipment trailers, boats and bikes.

We provide experienced crew, from Producer, Director, Writer, Production Manager and Location Scout to Camera Operator, Animal Wrangler, Stunt Coordinator and Safety, Fire, Military and other Experts. We also provide Post Production including video and audio editing, graphics, special FX and soundtracks.

Besides providing services to others we also produce our own projects in house and have the abilities to also provide consulting, research, development, funding, distribution and social media services for clients.

Our website www.starlandstudios.com is designed to provide a platform for our full service company and to be an online distribution hub using Vimeo and Youtube to monetize content by us and other producers. We are also utilizing a Facebook page and social media networks like google, twitter, pinterest and reddit.

We currently distribute: TV specials Fire Attack with host William Shatner and Cougar Crossings with music by Tin Machine with David Bowie, TV series Wildlife Wranglers: Season One and TV pilot First Response’.

Starland is filming content on an ongoing basis and arranges licensing with global stock footage houses. It is now creating footage for TV series Wildlife Wranglers: Season Two, developing feature film Wolf Walker, documentary How Will Wolves Survive and working on other special projects in-house and co-produced with other talented filmmakers.

Starland is also involved in the music industry and has produced a music video for Moody x 2 and is releasing the album.

Our marketing strategy involves a global campaign promoting Starland Studios as a new entertainment brand with a store, services and projects as well as being the home of the Wildlife Wranglers TV series.
